We are excited to announce that this year the Blend Media team will be co-hosting more of our popular creator meetups and workshops all over the globe with our Facebook 360 partners. Over the course of the year we will also be co-hosting stands at large tech and media conferences and exhibitions so be sure to keep an eye out for us!

Over the next couple of months we will be running a 360˚ video creator meetup and workshop in London, and one in Austin, Texas. We also look forward to returning to co-host a stand at the annual South by Southwest (SXSW) event in Austin.

All members of Blend Media’s creator network receive invitations to free and exclusive meetups and workshops, co-hosted with our Facebook 360 partners. So far we have hosted meetups and workshops in Vienna, London, Liverpool, Amsterdam, Sydney, Melbourne and New York.

The meetups are an opportunity for like-minded 360˚ video creators to collaborate and exchange ideas and information. These events are also great opportunities for creators to learn about the Blend Media and Facebook partnership and opportunities to work directly with the Facebook 360 team.

Our Austin creator meetup will be held on Tuesday 13th March, between 6.30pm-9pm on the stylish Terrace 59 rooftop of Speakeasy.

We also co-host our media and production workshops with the Facebook 360 team. The creator workshops are more intimate and tend to occur a few hours before the meetups.

The format for upcoming workshops is as follows:

This hands on media workshop will be hosted by the Facebook 360 and Blend Media team and is just a five minute walk away from the Whistling Shop where the meetup will be held. The workshop will take place prior to the meetup on Thursday 22nd February, from 4pm-6.30pm.

From the 11th-14th March we will be co-hosting a stand at SXSW with Facebook 360.

Founded in 1987 in Austin, Texas, SXSW is one of the largest creative conglomerates in the world. It features music and film festivals, conferences on a variety of subjects and exhibitions.

Come and visit our stand! It’s a great chance to learn about the benefits of the Facebook partnership, how to monetise content, and to learn more about our new platform, 360 Stories, which enables users to easily create interactive 360˚ experiences that can be published across websites, ad networks and across social media. We shall announce our stand location soon.

We will also be demoing some of our creator’s amazing 360˚ video content in our Samsung Gear VR headsets.
