Deloitte Global Employee Services team is constantly looking to improve the way the business moves people around the world. They wanted to use immersive mobility as a tool to help welcome employees relocating to different offices, and provide an immersive experience that would give employees the best idea of what living in a new city would be like.
Deloitte’s San Francisco-based team used Blend Media’s global immersive marketplace, Blend Market, to access local creators in Shanghai and create an immersive 360 video. This was accessed through a Virtual Reality headset and helped give employees an insight into everyday life in their new city.

The Shanghai employee mobility programme followed on from a successful proof of concept project for London which was shown in headsets at its global client conference. Deloitte not only used this for workplace mobility but to onboard new employee’s, as well at recruitment drives. When used at recruitment fairs, it saw a 3X uplift of the number of applicants post-event.
